Rick’s on the Square is a beautiful restaurant and the food is always top notch quality, cooked perfectly and presentation is spot on…we have been here many times and always had a great experience…we had ribeye steaks and they were delicious, tender, juicy, seasoned just right! Don’t miss this place, perfect for absolutely any occasion, and will impress everyone. Quality food…10/10!

Let's start off with Riley ! Wow she is amazing! Cuter than a speckled pup! Polite and on point . She never missed a beat . Her suggestions were awesome t Texas bites GET NOW Burgers were amazing. Shaved rib eye wow ! I will try my best to describe but motal words will never do it justice . Perfectly cooked, just order it don't give the chef a temperature, trust me he knows what he is doing. The outside of the steak is a very light crispy texture BUT melts immediately on contact as well as the center juicy and tender but not runny or sloppy, the brioches was great soft and easy to swallow because these ingredients are the finest . The chef made a creamy peppercorn sauce from scratch that was a GAME CHANGER ! I can't remember what it is called but wow The quality of food, the amazing chef and Riley made this a 10 out of 10 visit. Make a point to eat here if you have a chance .

Rick’s in downtown Tyler surprised me in the best way. I really expected “sports bar and call it a day,” but it’s actually a whole vibe. It’s basically three separate spaces—the restaurant, the bar, and the outdoor area where the band was playing. The bar had big comfy leather couches and chairs, and the courtyard was gorgeous with brick, ivy, ironwork, and a little New Orleans energy that made the whole place feel way cooler than expected. Elsa was fantastic—attentive without hovering, which should honestly be an Olympic event at this point. Food was good overall. I had the lamb chops and should’ve trusted myself and ordered them rare instead of medium rare because they were a little overcooked for my taste. My husband had the shrimp à la vodka pasta, and for that giant bowl of pasta, only three shrimp felt a little disrespectful. Overall, really solid dinner spot for a relaxed night with friends, drinks, and live music. Definitely not what I expected—in a good way.

This was a delivery order and the food was still hot when it arrived. We ordered the Fried Catfish, Chicken Fried Pork Chops, Chicken Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, greens, cornbread muffin, purple hull peas, banana pudding and peach cobbler. Out of all of that, the peach cobbler and the purple hull peas were the star of the show, the rest was mediocre. The pork chop and chicken breast were ok just lacked flavor. The catfish wasn't cooked throughly, we threw it out. I was expecting the greens to be homemade and they were canned greens. The mac and cheese had potential, it was a little bit overcooked. The mashed potatoes and muffin were ok. The banana pudding wasn't good at all, the bananas that were in it were super dark and old plus the wafers were mushy. Disappointed to say the least because we spent $100 and only enjoyed $20 worth.

Have to say, rather disappointing to be honest. Server was not very attentive, nachos were missing pico, the breading did not stick to the chicken fried steak and her “medium rare” steak was well done. Why they put the steak on that big of a plate I couldn’t tell you but it made it look even smaller. WAY overpriced for what we got.
